Grata offers both China and international hosting solutions. You should confirm the location of where you need your account hosted before you get started. By default your account will be hosted on a Grata server within the People’s Republic of China. China Cybersecurity Law requires companies operating in China to store data domestically. If you would like a dedicated instance (additional fees apply) or prefer to use a server hosted outside of China, please contact Grata before proceeding with any further setup.
If your network uses a specialized configuration (eg. proxy, VPN, firewall, or MPLS), consult the list of Grata and third-party service URLs and IP addresses to properly configure your network for Grata. For example, if you regularly use a personal or office VPN in Mainland China, you can copy and paste all of the China Services IP addresses as exceptions in your VPN’s site filter.
If you operate a managed network, you may need to check that you do not have any policy blocking secure websockets.
